The Mid Cheshire Business Forum is run by local business for local business – providing support, mentoring, insight, news and a united voice on matters affecting our business community.

No matter where you are in Mid Cheshire, what your trade is or how large or small your business is, the Mid Cheshire Business Forum is for you.

Our Meetings

Our meetings are usually held on evening of  the Second Tuesday of the month. (Except for December when we move to the First Tuesday).

Meetings can vary in structure, but normally include an element of networking. Seminars or presentations aimed at providing members with information and tools to help with the growth of their business or organisation.

Mid Cheshire is blessed by a far greater diversity of enterprises than can be found in most other areas of the UK – from High-Tech to Distribution, Retail to Construction, Dog Walking to Entertainment.

To allow our members to raise their profile, they have advanced, discounted access to the region’s largest, independent Business Showcase – held in June each year.

Mid Cheshire Business Forum will be launching its own Business Awards in Autumn 2018 to celebrate the high quality of best business practice on offer throughout our district.

The Awards will be open to all businesses and organisations across Mid Cheshire – with one category devoted to members of The Forum – and will be presented at a Gala Charity Dinner.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDRP)

Tuesday 8th May 2018 : 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start

No matter how you store information on your clients – and you do – be it in a Customer Relationship Management package, Accounts package, Spreadsheet, Roladex or on the back of a fag packet, how you hold that data is about to become that bit more scrutinised.

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy.

This directive, which will be retained beyond Brexit, becomes enforcable from 25th May 2018, andwe had hoped to have a representative from the Information Commissioner’s Office in attendance – but this is not now the case.

Instead, our round-table discussion will aim to share each other’s experiences and knowledge, to give guidance – and reassurance – to help you ensure you are compliant.

We are grateful to the Anderton Boat Lift for hosting this FREE meeting. Please pre-register so that we have an idea of numbers.
